George Collison

George Collison, R.P.L.S.

George Collison, R.P.L.S., is President and has been with Terra since the beginning in 1981. He is also Operations Manager, overseeing and guiding day-to-day scheduling and the smooth running of all activities. He is the main point of contact for many Terra clients including engineering firms, architects, and developers.

George brings a broad range of experience and abilities. He has managed hundreds of projects, including commercial/retail sites for banks, drug, fuel and convenience stores. He has also surveyed and managed dozens of large retail centers with pad sites, and apartment projects. He has surveyed miles of road, drainage and utilities for engineering projects for municipal facilities and property acquisitions.

Mr. Collison also heads the firm's Platting Section and, over the last 30 years, has platted in all surrounding counties and municipalities in the metro Houston area. Terra has extensive experience with hundreds of commercial and residential plats and replats.

George attended college in Sterling, Colorado and has been a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Texas since 1986. He is a member of the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors.

Mark J. Piriano

Mark J. Piriano, R.P.L.S.

Mark J. Piriano, R.P.L.S., joined Terra in 1999 and focuses on “big box” projects: managing the complex development surveys and plats for large retail outlets and surrounding pad sites. This has involved starting with 25 to 80 acres of raw land and performing boundary, topographic and utility surveys, easements, construction layout, and as-built surveys.

He has surveyed most of the Target stores and many of the Lowes, HEB, and Home Depots built in the greater Houston area. He was also Project Surveyor for the Land Title Surveys of all of the unimproved land (several thousand acres) held by Coventry Development Corporation surrounding Baybrook Mall and in Spring, Texas.

Mark Piriano has a long history of collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors to bring projects to successful completion. He attended the University of Illinois, Champagne-Urbana and received his registration as a Professional Land Surveyor in Texas in 2003. Mark is a member of the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors.

Robert J. Gabler

Robert J. Gabler, R.P.L.S.

Robert John Gabler, R.P.L.S. has been with Terra since 1988, and been Project Manager for a vast number of assignments. He is responsible for the majority of the surveys performed for H.I.S.D (since 1991) which were partial or entire campuses of 24+ schools and was the Project Manager for the comprehensive survey of the entire University of St. Thomas campus, which included mapping of boundaries, topography, utilities, trees and the abandonment of streets and easements.

Robert Gabler's expertise also includes oil and gas surveys, well locations, and defining gas units, and pipeline routes. He manages Terra's GPS applications and processes data from our 3 Leica Systems to provide centimeter accuracy survey results.

Mr. Gabler attended South Texas Junior College. His Texas registration was obtained in 1986 and he is a member of the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors.

Scott D. Mandeville

Scott D. Mandeville, R.P.L.S.

Scott Mandeville worked with Terra from 1990-1999 and again, starting in 2012. Beside his extensive experience with commercial- and engineering-related surveying projects, Scott has a 20-year history, as a survey consultant for the Texas Department of Transportation.

Scott attended the University of Houston, graduated with a surveying degree from Tyler Junior College in 1980, and became a registered surveyor in Texas in 1987. Scott has also been a member of the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors, since 1979.

Over the years, Scott has gained a practical knowledge of many aspects of land surveying, serving as a party chief and board draftsman, project manager, and vice-president of a surveying firm. Scott is married to his first wife, has two adult sons, and is very active in his local church.
